Skoda Kodiaq VRS

Recently our General Manager (John Stevenson) got behind the wheel of the latest offering from Skoda with their Kodiaq VRS edition. This dynamic and sports focused car boasts the most powerful production diesel engine from Skoda.

The New Skoda Kodiaq VRS we tested was in Velvet Red Metallic and is kitted out with a host of goodies including:

  • 20″ Alloys, Dual exhaust pipes, red brake calipers
  • Alcantara heated front sports seats and sports steering wheel
  • Dynamic chassis control, Smartlink+, DAB
  • Virtual cockpit, privacy glass, electrically adjusted driver seats with memory
  • Drive mode select, Progressive steering, light and rain sensor
  • Keyless entry, Carbon finished dashboard and door inserts
  • and much much more……….

The car is fitted with a 2.0 TDi 239PS 4×4 engine with a top speed of 137 mph and 500Nm of torque. With this in mind the acceleration and performance is noticeable and with the dual clutch DSG 7 speed auto gearbox, the gear changes are effortless and go unnoticed despite the vehicles proportions.

The clever dynamic chassis control aids to this comfort and makes for a very stable drive.

An advantage of the Kodiaq is the 7 seats which still leaves 230 litres of boot space behind and with 5 seat layout an additional 715 litres on top of this.

Fuel economy is not fantastic as you would expect but WLTP fuel consumption is 35.3-34.0 mpg and a NEDC equivalent CO2 of 167 g/km.

In Summary the car offers “Great performance, sporty looks and great versatility.”
